Spain left it late to seal all three points in their opening Euro 2016 fixture with Gerard Pique striking on the 87th minute to defeat Czech Republic 1-0. The reigning European champions dominated the match with 18 shots on goal but struggled to break down Pavel Vrba’s side. Iniesta’s cross was met by Pique three minutes from the end though, and the defender headed downwards from close range to give his side a deserved lead.Their best chance before the late header fell to Czech Republic’s Roman Hubnik when he played a clearance off his own post. last_img
