PASADENA – A man, who apparently left a paltry tip at a local bar, got into a heated exchange with a bartender, walked out of the establishment and was stabbed early Tuesday, officials said. The victim, identified only as a resident of Downey, was taken to Huntington Memorial Hospital, in stable condition, Pasadena police Lt. Keith Jones said. “Apparently our victim ran up a tab and when he left what the bartender thought was a menial tip, a few words were spoken,” Jones said. “Somebody who was in the bar followed him out and stabbed him one time.” The single stab wound was not “life threatening,” Jones said.
